The beaches of Annisquam are exceptional. They are small but provide a classic ambiance. Cambridge Beach and Lighthouse Beach were both used extensively by summer residents dating back for more than a century. Now, both are held in Trusts for Annisquam residents. To the right is an oil painting of Lighthouse Beach with my two children at a young age, Matt and Ria, discovering some of the treasures that the beach has to offer at low tide.

Above is another view of Lighthouse Beach. For this painting, I asked Maria to model the woman sitting on the rock, watching the bathers. The water on the North Shore is cold compared to the beaches around Cape Cod. But, by late summer the temperature reaches a tolerable level.
