After taking a few courses in water color techniques, I did a series of paintings. Some were of Gloucester subjects, others scenes of Harvard. Here are two examples. Above is a quick watercolor painting of the old Bromfield Academy located in Harvard Center. A great example of Victorian architecture. It was once the town's school. This is where I took my drawing class, sponsored by the Harvard Adult Education. It has since been renovated and expanded to become the beautiful new town library.

To the right, is a view of Annisquam Light from Ipswich Bay. All boats heading to sea from Lobster Cove had to pass the light. A small gaff rigged sloop is shown in this painting.
