My nephew, Steven and niece, Linda, are animal lovers like me. I have done pastel paintings of all of Steven's dogs, including Sable, a Rotweiler, and Ursa, a furry, black bear of a dog. They are shown on other pages. Steven's current dog, Buddy, is included above. I recently completed Buddy's painting as a gift for Steven.

Shown to the right is the portrait of Linda's cats, Sugar and Spice. It was also recently completed. This was my first portrait of cats. I found they are a little more difficult to do than dogs. Perhaps it is because they are smaller with more details that dogs. But, I enjoyed doing both of these paintings. And they appear to be well appreciated by their recipients.
